Assessment of Knowledge

We will cover the checklist at the assessment to assess the student's knowledge. Students will want to understand the Primary Movers of the asana demonstrated in this video clip, although there is no need for all of them to be demonstrated by the student. These asana is included in the Asana Handbook. Students with less than one year experience are highly encouraged to attend the in person sangha labs in person, whenever possible. We practice teach in these labs for practical experience.

Students with more experience teaching may opt to attend some sangha labs in person, some online via webinar, or record practicum via file share. The purpose of the assessment is to gauge how we may best serve the student in their learning journey.

Prerequisite:
Students who do not hold the RYT 200, or if not concurrently enrolled in the Edge Yoga School 200 hour yoga teacher training, must complete the Group Fitness course included in the tuition. We will follow the recommendations and publishings in line with the American Council on Exercise. Students will also have the option to test-out of these prerequisites, if they feel comfortable doing so.
